Ever since Grindr broke the mould of “online dating” in 2009, there have been dozens of competitor apps which have tried to steal it’s crown.

And it appears someone finally has!

China-based app Blued claims to have raised finance to value it at $US300 million, twice as much as Grindr was worth when a majority stake was sold to a Chinese investor in January.

Blued has 27 million registered users, with 80% of them in China.

But it wants to expand rapidly overseas, and now with the funding to do it – expect to see more from Blued!
